Use a permanent marker to boldly write your name or state code on all your clothes (especially whites). Buy a strong padlock for your luggage, and keep your money/phones in a waist bag that stays on you at all times—even when sleeping.

How much cash should I bring?
Bring enough physical cash. There are POS operators in camp, but their withdrawal charges are notoriously high.

What is the daily schedule like?
Parade starts very early. You are expected to wake up by 4:00 AM, brush, dress up, and be on the parade ground by 4:30 AM to 5:00 AM.

Can I cook my own food in camp?
No. NYSC provides three meals a day. If you don’t like the food, you can buy meals at the Mammy Market. You are allowed to bring provisions like Garri, cornflakes, and milk.
